Geocache Description:

Barasaur Likes Coffee and Jigidis!

🦕☕🧩🦕☕🧩🦕☕🧩🦕☕🧩🦕☕🧩🦕☕🧩🦕☕🧩

Barasaur wasn’t your average dinosaur—he was a Colorado-loving, puzzle-solving, geocache-racing machine. Whether he was solving Jigidi puzzles by the fireplace or tearing across the snow-covered roads in his Corvette (with winter tires, of course), he was always up for an adventure. But when it came to geocaching? FTF was his game.

A fresh layer of snow blanketed the streets as Barasaur sipped his morning coffee at the local café. Across the table, Denali41 and Icezebra11 were hunched over their tablets, deep in a Jigidi puzzle. “This one’s tricky,” Icezebra11 muttered. Denali41 grinned. “We’ll crack it. Just like that cache on the Continental Divide.”

Racing through puzzles was just as thrilling as chasing an FTF, but today, Barasaur had a feeling adventure was calling. Barasaur loved the single color Jigidi's and tricky hides.

All of a sudden, his phone buzzed. A new geocache had just been published. His eyes widened as he read the description—a challenging puzzle cache hidden somewhere in the snowy backcountry.

Snapping to action, he announced, “FTF alert!” His tail twitched with excitement as he stood up.  We have got to beat Turbo T-Rex, because he always gets the first.

As Denali41 and Icezebra11 looked up, they smirked. “You go for it, Barasaur,” Denali41 said. “We’ll finish this Jigidi and see if we can crack the puzzle from here.”  Denali41 loved doing Jigidi's on a snowy day, he has even set his tent up in the snow on the side of a cliff.

Urging himself into motion, Barasaur bolted out the door, tossing his empty coffee cup into the trash. He knew his Corvette wouldn’t handle the deep snow, so he jumped into his dune buggy—equipped with monster snow tires—and hit the road.

Rushing up the mountain pass, he noticed another set of headlights in his mirror. Turbo T-Rex. “Not today, buddy,” Barasaur muttered, shifting gears.

Determined not to lose, he squinted through the falling snow, his breath fogging up the windshield.

Right behind him was Turbo T-Rex, his rival and fellow geocaching speedster.

Inching forward through the icy roads, Barasaur looked for a shortcut, spotting an old mining road barely visible under the snow.

Navigating carefully, he turned onto the narrow path, his dune buggy bouncing over rocks hidden beneath the powder.

Knowing this might be his only chance, he pushed the throttle, speeding ahead. FTF fever has set in and Barasaur was determined to get there first.

Snow swirled around him as he reached the coordinates. He looked around to see what he could find.  A suspicious-looking stump caught his eye. "It must be in there!"

Clearing the snow from the stump, he uncovered the well-camouflaged geocache.  The geocache was all white, just like the snow.  He thought to himself that this world make a great Jigidi, all one color of white.

Opening the lid, he grabbed the logbook and signed his name first—FTF!  He was old school and left a very long thoughtful log for all to read later, instead of only putting TFTC.

Feeling the rush of victory, he grinned just as Turbo T-Rex arrived, huffing from the cold. I guess you get STF today.

Frowning, Turbo T-Rex shook his head. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” he groaned.  I always get the FTF.  I guess I should get some new tires for my Jeep.  I'll get FTF next time.

Exclaiming with laughter, Barasaur clapped him on the back. “Maybe next time we should cache together, Turbo T-Rex!” We could combine our names and be TurboSaur.

Eager to warm up, Barasaur turned his dune buggy around and sped back toward town.  "Hot coffee sounds good about now."

Once he arrived back at the café, he stomped the snow off his boots and stepped inside.  It was nice and warm in the café by the fire.

Nothing beat the warmth of a fresh coffee and a morning full of good friends and great puzzles.

Making his way to the table, he smirked at Denali41 and Icezebra11.

Only one question remained. “So? FTF?” Denali41 asked, though he already knew the answer.

Nodding, Barasaur took a seat and raised his steaming coffee mug. “Of course.”

Denali41 slid a fresh mug of coffee across the table. “Well, you earned it.” Barasaur said "Thanks For The Coffee!"

As laughter filled the café, Turbo T-Rex stomped in, brushing snow off his jacket.  He had the look of defeat in his face.

Yawning, he grabbed a seat. “Alright, you got me this time. But next time, I’m getting there first.” Smiling, Barasaur took a sip of coffee. “We’ll see about that.” "At least you got a new smiley today."

Sipping coffee and doing puzzles with friends is so relaxing. This wraps up another Monday morning coffee meetup full of stories, puzzles, and a well-earned FTF—the perfect start to another adventurous week.
