NOTE: We might have to change the area we will be cleaning. The decision will be made the week before the 19th, but the problem is that I had to publish the event at least two weeks ahead. I have been told that almost everyone gets the spot they ask for, so here's hoping it continues to be that way. I will contact you if the GZ changes. Owlover volunteered to pick up our t-shirts at Granite Creek Park if allowed. I'm still checking on that.
The CITO Event
Come out to enjoy the company of other geocachers and do some good for our city. This day is the 2025 Granite Creek Cleanup Project and there are over 50 different sites where people can go out and collect trash. Everyone who pre-registers will get a t-shirt! I have chosen the Watson Lake Raparian Perserve-south as our area. The GZ will lead you to a large parking lot, and the trails lead off from there. Let's get out to the Riparian Preserve and do a great job. The trails are also nice, so it should be a wonderful day. We will also be a step closer to the Treasures Collection.
Please choose #38 Watson Riparian Preserve South as your first choice and #39 Watson Riparian Preserve North as your second choice.
The Parks Department. published the time as 8 A.M. to noon, but CITOs only need to be an hour long. I hope that you will stay longer, but that is entirely up to you, of course. Trash bags will be provided, and the trash will be picked up by the Parks Department.
