This one replaces the long-missing #5 originally placed in 2009, and honors the work of BH1 during the many years that she as able to actively contribute to this hobby. Originally located at the observation platform more than a mile out in the Prairie, this is now more accessible to all. Besides, BH1 had to replace it several times, finally having to give up on it. Having scouted the structure, I opted out of that location again.
It's a great honor to be the guardian of several of her classic hides, and this is meant to follow in that style.
This is the 5th of a series of caches place on the beautiful Bolen Bluff trail. You are looking for a cammoed preform at a tree just off the trail, about head high. Choose your route carefully to avoid bushwacking or disturbing the vegetation, even though this is a very open area. You are in a wilderness area where snakes and spiders and other creepy crawlies may make their homes, so look before you reach. It's always good to bring a walking stick to poke in those hidy places. Look out for muggles and those unseen owls that may watch your every move...
...and maybe, JUST maybe, you'll have the same good fortune I had today (for only the 2nd time in 12 years!) and see the wild horses on the trail!
