The Left Bund (杨浦滨江) is the riverside area along the 15.5km waterfront of Huangpu River in Yangpu District. It is known as the birthplace of China's modern industries with the nation's first water, electricity, shipbuilding and textile companies. Many of the industrial buildings, such as the iconic Yangshupu Power Plant, have been preserved during the redevelopment of the riverside region.
The Textile Warehouse (毛麻仓库) is located at No.468 Yangshupu Road, Yangpu District, with the former No. 1 Dock of Shanghai Shipyard to its east and the Qinhuangdao Road Ferry to its west. It stands as an important industrial heritage site along the Huangpu River, boasting a history spanning over a century. Originally, the warehouse traces its roots to a yarn factory established in 1895. In 1920, the yarn factory constructed the warehouse on its original site, employing a reinforced concrete beamless floor structure—a design emblematic of 1920s industrial architecture. After years, the yarn factory was transformed into the Shanghai First Silk Weaving Factory. In 2018, Yangpu District launched a conservation and restoration project for the Textile Warehouse. After the restoration, the site began hosting a series of art exhibitions and cultural activities, gradually evolving into a new cultural and artistic hub in Shanghai.

The GZ is the small square outside the Textile Warehouse. There are several curved benches in the square. The magnetic cache (a 5cm tube) is attached under the bench.
