The Great Trail consists of 24,000 kms of multi-use trails which connect and stretch across Canada from Newfoundland to Vancouver Island and up to the Northwest Territories. It is truly our "trans Canada" trail and apparently 4 out of 5 Caadians live within 30 minutes of it. The New Tecumseth section is covered with pea gravel and skirts beautiful farmland. No motorized vehicles are allowed so enjoy walkig, biking, skiing or snowshoeing along this great trail.
This cache is "reborn" because I archived it in May of 2024 after it went missing from TGT series. Added to this, I had seen a porcupine in the original area twice and thought I wouldn't replace it because of the possibility of a cacher running into Ms Quills. In January of 2025 a geocacher contacted me to let me know that they had found the container in good condition in a nearby shrub. (I think Ms. Quills was doing some housecleaning). I was thrilled to have my cache back and couldn't wait to rehide it since people seemed to enjoy the contents. Hopefully the new spot is safer. I didn't want to choose a place so close to the trail but because it is geared to children, I wanted to reduce the walk through tall grass.
