Geocache Description:

Sometimes life gets in the way of fun and games.  That has been my story lately, and my lack of active caching.  Well, time to make amends and get going again!  Hmm, how can I give back to the community?

Of course, by creating some new puzzles, everyone’s favorite cache type, to solve and then find. However, my brain is too old and decrepit to be that creative.  Time to do something I did not think I would ever do again, refer to my interaction with Jenk Porkins. That’s right, time to hire a service to do my dirty work for me.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, I only had 5 people enter my contest.  This made judging the ‘winners’ a whole lot easier.  This is the saga of one of those winning contestants.   Each cache in this series has some information you need to gather to find the final bonus cache.

I was super excited to meet up with my next contest winner.  My good buddy, from the past, Charleston had seen my poster and decided to submit an entry.  One a lazy Monday after work, I swung by the post office to see what he had for me.

fanugler: “Hey man, it’s so good to see you and to have you help me out yet again.”

Charleston: “No problem.  I have missed you.  Hopefully my last idea worked out for you.”

f: “Well, about that…..16 people found my hide before the flooding and other natural causes got the better of things.  However, what I have for this hide is a much dryer area.”

C: “Well, 16 is better than none.  I have worked here for some time now, so I’ve accumulated a bit of PTO.  On my last trip, I picked up a couple of post cards that just might work as a puzzle for you.”

f: “Can’t be any worse than what I’ve been able to come up with.  Which is nothing.”

We stood and shot the ‘shoot’ for a bit longer before he said he had to go get his postcards from his locker in back.  After a couple of minutes, he came back and placed two cards on the counter.

C: “Here you go.  All you need to do is post these on the net and your people should be able to figure out where to go.

f: “Awww, man, awesome.  I for sure will post these!  Thanks so much.  I’ll let you know if people have better luck than last time.”

With that I headed out on more adventures of my own.
