There are few geocaches in downtown Hangzhou, so I turned my attention to historically archived caches and made some unexpected discoveries.

Something you should know before geocaching in China
Due to China's national surveying and mapping regulations, all public maps in China adopt the GCJ-02 coordinate system, which has a 300-500 meter deviation from the internationally recognized WGS-84 coordinate system. This means the displayed locations on official apps' Google Maps/satellite views are inaccurate. However, OpenStreetMap or your GPS device remains reliable.
