Nel territorio di Ialmicco è stata rilevata la presenza di un complesso residenziale e produttivo romano di grandi dimensioni. I materiali recuperati finora appartengono in parte al I secolo a.C. e in parte al I e III secolo d.C. Si tratta dei resti di pavimentazioni stradali e di alcune sepolture riferibili all’età romana, nonché di alcuni edifici pertinenti alla dislocazione degli edifici ed alla vita quotidiana.
Il territorio di Ialmicco può essere classificato tra le ville rustiche che nei primi secoli dopo Cristo occupavano la bassa friulana; erano insediamenti a carattere produttivo legati alla viticoltura e all'allevamento del bestiame. Si trovavano spesso in prossimità di importanti percorsi viari, e frequentemente possedevano un sepolcreto privato.

In the territory of Ialmicco, the presence of a large Roman residential and production complex has been detected. The materials recovered so far belong partly to the 1st century BC and partly to the 1st and 3rd centuries AD. These are the remains of road pavements and some burials attributable to the Roman age, as well as some buildings pertinent to the location of the buildings and daily life.
The territory of Ialmicco can be classified among the rustic villas that in the first centuries AD occupied the lower Friuli; they were productive settlements linked to viticulture and livestock breeding. They were often located near important roads, and frequently had a private burial ground.
