This cache is hidden along the private tramway that once connected the end of the Bryngwyn railway branch to the Alexandra Slate Quarry. It is one of four placed to link the end of the Bryngwyn Slate Trail back to Rhostryfan, creating a more circular walking route.
The cache is not hidden in the slate wall.
