🇸🇮 Igra Geocaching praznuje četrt stoletja. Od leta 2000, ko so računalniški in tehnološki zanesenjaki preizkušali sistem GPS s skrivanjem in iskanjem vsebnikov v naravi, je v 25 letih prerasla v svetovno igro, zaradi katere je septembra 2025 prišlo v Kamnik nekaj sto geolovcev iz 15 držav. HoG (History of Geocaching) georisba (geoart) je bila postavljena kot darilo udeležencem Kamnik 2025 Block Party dogodka in opomnik na bolj ali manj prelomne dogodke v četrtstoletni zgodovini igre.
Pomembni dogodki v letu 2005:
- Januar (A): vključitev atributov v opis zaklada na spletišču geocaching.com.
- Februar (B): uvedba Zaznamkov na spletišču geocaching.com (kasneje preimenovani v Sezname).
- Avgust (C): vzpostavitev spletišča waymarking.com kot nadomestila za zaklade brez lokacije (locationless).
- November (D): opustitev objavljanja novih Webcam zakladov.

🇬🇧 The game of Geocaching is celebrating a quarter of a century. Since 2000, when computer and technology geeks tested the GPS system by hiding and searching for containers in nature, it has grown over 25 years into a global game, which brought a few hundred geocachers from 15 countries to Kamnik in September 2025. The HoG (History of Geocaching) geoart was placed as a gift to the participants of the Kamnik 2025 Block Party event and a reminder of the more or less significant events in the game's quarter-century history.
Notable events in 2005:
- January (A): Cache attributes implemented in the cache listings on geocaching.com.
- February (B): Bookmarks implemented on geocaching.com (later renamed to Lists).
- August (C): launch of waymarking.com as a replacement for locationless caches.
- November (D): webcams no longer accepted for publication.
