🇸🇮 Igra Geocaching praznuje četrt stoletja. Od leta 2000, ko so računalniški in tehnološki zanesenjaki preizkušali sistem GPS s skrivanjem in iskanjem vsebnikov v naravi, je v 25 letih prerasla v svetovno igro, zaradi katere je septembra 2025 prišlo v Kamnik nekaj sto geolovcev iz 15 držav. HoG (History of Geocaching) georisba (geoart) je bila postavljena kot darilo udeležencem Kamnik 2025 Block Party dogodka in opomnik na bolj ali manj prelomne dogodke v četrtstoletni zgodovini igre.
Pomembni dogodki v letu 2007:
- februar (A): Sonček začne pisati prvi slovenski geolovski blog Geo Slovenija.
- junij (B): Grajski hrib (GCNBKQ) v Ljubljani postane prvi slovenski zaklad s 100 najdbami.
- julij (C): ekipa TeMpL Team postavi zaklad na vrhu Triglava (GC14N3H). Zaklad je v uradnem Geocaching blogu dvakrat izpostavljen kot zaklad tedna.
- avgust (D): Sonček postavi stoti slovenski zaklad (GC14WTB) z izhodiščnimi koordinatami N 46° 00.100 E 014° 00.100.
- december (E): število objavljenih zakladov na svetu doseže 500.000.

🇬🇧 The game of Geocaching is celebrating a quarter of a century. Since 2000, when computer and technology geeks tested the GPS system by hiding and searching for containers in nature, it has grown over 25 years into a global game, which brought a few hundred geocachers from 15 countries to Kamnik in September 2025. The HoG (History of Geocaching) geoart was placed as a gift to the participants of the Kamnik 2025 Block Party event and a reminder of the more or less significant events in the game's quarter-century history.
Notable events in 2007:
- February (A): Sonček starts Geo Slovenija blog site.
- June (B): Ljubljana Castle Hill (GCNBKQ) becomes the first Slovenian geocache with 100 finds.
- July (C): TeMpL Team places a geocache (GC14N3H) on the summit of Triglav, the highest mountain of Slovenia. It was featured as Geocache of the week in the official Geocaching blog twice.
- August (D): Sonček places 100th geocache cache in Slovenia (GC14WTB) with the header coordinates N 46° 00.100 E 014° 00.100.
- December (E): the 500.000th geocache published.
