🇸🇮 Igra Geocaching praznuje četrt stoletja. Od leta 2000, ko so računalniški in tehnološki zanesenjaki preizkušali sistem GPS s skrivanjem in iskanjem vsebnikov v naravi, je v 25 letih prerasla v svetovno igro, zaradi katere je septembra 2025 prišlo v Kamnik nekaj sto geolovcev iz 15 držav. HoG (History of Geocaching) georisba (geoart) je bila postavljena kot darilo udeležencem Kamnik 2025 Block Party dogodka in opomnik na bolj ali manj prelomne dogodke v četrtstoletni zgodovini igre.
Pomembni dogodki v letu 2013:
- Februar (A): število objavljenih zakladov na svetu doseže 2 milijona.
- Marec (B): prvi slovenski geolovec obišče Geocaching HQ v Seattlu in najde zaklad na sedežu igre.
- Avgust (C): prvi Mednarodni festival geolovskega filma (GIFF - Geocaching International Film Festival) poteka v okviru Block Party dogodka v Seattlu.
- November (D): geolovci na več kot 1.100 dogodkih po vsem svetu (tudi v Sloveniji, v bifeju bencinske črpalke v Grosupljem ob 5. uri zjutraj) spremljajo izstrelitev rakete Sojuz, s katero Rick Mastracchio (AstroRM) poleti na Mednarodno vesoljsko postajo in postane prvi najditelj (FTF) zaklada, ki je bil na njej postavljen leta 2008.

Geocaching HQ cache in March 2013
🇬🇧 The game of Geocaching is celebrating a quarter of a century. Since 2000, when computer and technology geeks tested the GPS system by hiding and searching for containers in nature, it has grown over 25 years into a global game, which brought a few hundred geocachers from 15 countries to Kamnik in September 2025. The HoG (History of Geocaching) geoart was placed as a gift to the participants of the Kamnik 2025 Block Party event and a reminder of the more or less significant events in the game's quarter-century history.
Notable events in 2013:
- February (A): The 2,000,000th geocache is published.
- March (B): The first geocacher from Slovenia visits Geocaching Headquarters and finds the Geocaching HQ cache.
- August (C): The first GIFF (Geocaching International Film Festival) takes place during a Block Party event in Seattle.
- November (D): More than 1,100 "Geocaching in Space" events are held in over 30 countries, including Slovenia, to celebrate the launch of a Soyuz rocket taking Rick Mastracchio (AstroRM) to the International Space Station. He was the FTF (First to Find) on the ISS geocache placed in 2008.
