🇸🇮 Igra Geocaching praznuje četrt stoletja. Od leta 2000, ko so računalniški in tehnološki zanesenjaki preizkušali sistem GPS s skrivanjem in iskanjem vsebnikov v naravi, je v 25 letih prerasla v svetovno igro, zaradi katere je septembra 2025 prišlo v Kamnik nekaj sto geolovcev iz 15 držav. HoG (History of Geocaching) georisba (geoart) je bila postavljena kot darilo udeležencem Kamnik 2025 Block Party dogodka in opomnik na bolj ali manj prelomne dogodke v četrtstoletni zgodovini igre.
Pomembni dogodki v letu 2015:
- Januar (A): slovenska prevajalska skupina prične projekt prevoda geolovskega spletišča.
- Marec (B): icabrian obišče Geocaching HQ kot geolovski prostovoljec prevajalec in tam predstavi slovensko geolovsko skupnost in njene želje.
- Junij (C): Nikrmana, prvi slovenski pregledovalec (reviewer) objavi prvi zaklad.
- November (D): zaradi slabega vremena v Seattlu je avgustovska projekcija festivala GIFF 2015 odpovedana in na novo zamišljena kot svetovni dogodek v Novembru. GIFF Weekend 2015 in Slovenia (GC62MTK) poteka v nabito polni kino dvorani s slovenskimi podnapisi, prevedenimi po tonskem zapisu, in postane prvi slovenski geolovski dogodek z udeležbo več kot 100 ekip in eden največjih GIFF dogodkov na svetu v letu 2015.
- December (E): Slovenija dobi državni spominek.

GIFF 2025 in Slovenia
🇬🇧 The game of Geocaching is celebrating a quarter of a century. Since 2000, when computer and technology geeks tested the GPS system by hiding and searching for containers in nature, it has grown over 25 years into a global game, which brought a few hundred geocachers from 15 countries to Kamnik in September 2025. The HoG (History of Geocaching) geoart was placed as a gift to the participants of the Kamnik 2025 Block Party event and a reminder of the more or less significant events in the game's quarter-century history.
Notable events in 2015:
- January (A): The Slovenian community volunteer translator group starts the translation project.
- March (B): Icabrian visits Geocaching HQ as a community volunteer and introduces the Slovenian geocaching community to the HQ.
- June (C): Nikrmana is appointed as the first Slovenian reviewer and publishes the first geocache.
- November (D): Due to bad weather in Seattle, the August GIFF 2015 screening is canceled and reinvented as a global event in November. GIFF Weekend 2015 in Slovenia (GC62MTK), with the screening in a packed theater and subtitles translated from the soundtrack, becomes the first Slovenian event with more than 100 teams attending, and one of the largest GIFF events in the world that year.
- December (E): The Slovenia country souvenir is revealed.
