Swallowtail Loop is a really nice, green path off the Tillandsia Trail which starts near the entrance to Kristin Jacobs Natural Area. It's a lovely, long loop walk through the woods. Lots of tall, straight slash pines, some nice cypress and tons of cabbage palms on a wide dirt pathway. The purpose is not to be too hard to find but to insure that you have the opportunity to not be inside but outside enjoying the sounds and sights of nature!
Not sure why the name; I did not see any swallowtail butterflies while enjoying the walk, but you might!
Please bring a pen/pencil. Happy hunting!
Congrats to SandyCashing for being FTF!
