St George's Day 2025
Come along to celebrate St George's Day, which is traditionally celebrated on 23 April each year, and is recognised as England’s national day on the anniversary of his death in 303 AD. Admired for his bravery, the patron saint of England has captivated British imaginations since the Crusades and the Hundred Years' War.

Meet at The George Inn, between 6pm and 7.30pm. The venue is a public house established in the medieval period on Borough High Street in Southwark, London, owned and leased by the National Trust. It is located about 250 metres (820 ft) from the south side of the River Thames near London Bridge and is the only surviving galleried London coaching inn. Charles Dickens visited the site when it was a coffee house and it's mentioned in Little Dorrit.
*There are cobbles on the courtyard and so it may be an uncomfortable ride into the pub for wheelchair users.
