This cache is a family friendly cache placed in Pine River Park. Easy walking terrain, but not handicachable due to having to navigate steps up and down the bridge. Pine River Park is open to the public year around, but the gate is closed most of the year. (It only opens for the summer season.) You are allowed to park at the gate and enter the park as long as it is within the posted park hours. (6:30 am-Dusk)
We found this fantastic park when we stopped to have a picnic on a beautiful Autumn day! It has gorgeous views of the Little Spokane River, a playground, lovely treed areas, bathrooms and a pretty bridge to cross the peaceful waters!! This is one of four Bridge over Peaceful Waters geocaches that we currently have placed ~ I absolutely adore scenic parks!! 💗
This is definitely a kid friendly, easy multi- cache so enjoy! We used to have a cache underneath the bridge, but it was muggled over and over and over again so we are changing it to a very easy Two Stage Multi-Cache with a Virtual Waypoint for Stage 1. 😊
To find the Final Location, go to the posted coordinates and answer the following questions:
To solve for A - how many steps are on both sides of the bridge? Take that number and add 24
To Solve for B - how many picnic tables are in the park on the opposite side of the bridge from the parking lot? Add 6 to that number.
