I have cached around SoCal for just a few years now and don't think I've come across a tree as awesome as this one here, and it's in the middle of a neighborhood too! I'm glad they left it here and built around it. I just had to bring you here with this cache to see it as I feel this is what geocaching is all about!
You are looking for an object at the base of the tree that should be quite obvious once you spot it. On the back of this object are instructions, just three words in ALL CAPS. Enter those three words into Certitude as one word, NOSPACES, and if successful, you'll get a hint for where to find the final. You must find the final and sign the log for this find to count. Do not post photos of the base of the tree so that it remains a surprise for everyone. It's a short distance between the two points. You will not need to hop back in the car for the second waypoint.
