Una stele monolitica risalente al VII-VI sec AC. Probabilmente una stele funeraria non databile con precisione ma attribuibile per il periodo storico alle popolazioni Salasse o Ligures che abitavano la zona in quel periodo

La stele di Mazzé è un blocco di gneiss micaceo probabilmente staccato da un grosso masso erratico di origine glaciale. E' alta 4,20 m e sulla sua superficie sono evidenti solchi lunghi circa 15 cm e larghi 3 realizzati probabilmente con un mazzuolo litico. E' presente una linea di incrostazione a circa 40 cm di altezza che fa dedurre che la stele fosse posizionata verticalmente, probabilmente anche sostenuta da un ammasso di ciottoli, visto l'interramento così esiguo.
Gli elementi raccolti dagli archeologi aiutano a definire il monolite come una stele monumentale.
Particolermente interessante è l'analogia con le stele di Lugnacco e di Chivasso, per misure, forma, lavorazione e per la presenza di piccole coppelle, . Un'altra stele molto simile, rinvenuta a Castelletto Ticino, reca incise delle armi ed è databile tra il VII e l'inizio del VI secolo.
la tipologia delle stele e le decorazioni di quella di Castelletto fanno suppore che dovesse avere un ruolo come elemento funerario e i dati finora raccolti la fanno datare tra il IX e il IV secolo

The Mazzé's stelae is a micaceous gneiss block probably detached from a big boulder of glacial origin. It's high 4.20 m and on its surface are obvious long furrows about 15 cm and wide 3 probably made with a mallet lytic. It presents a encrustation line about 40 cm high from the base, which makes deduce that the stele was positioned vertically, possibly supported by a cluster of pebbles, seen so few basement.
The evidence gathered by archaeologists define the monolith as a monumental stelae. </ P>
<P> Particolarly interesting is the similarity with the stelaes of Lugnacco and Chivasso, for measurements, shape, workmanship and the presence of small cups,. Another very similar stele, found in Castelletto Ticino, is engraved the weapons and can be dated between the seventh and early sixth century. </ P>
