The Eden Park Reservoir was a key part of the city’s early water system, originally built in the 1860s to provide clean drinking water to residents. Over the years, the reservoir became more than just a utility; it was a scenic landmark that drew visitors to the park, complementing its lakes, gardens, and walking paths.

The space was eventually repurposed, with parts of it being transformed into Mirror Lake, a popular reflecting pool and gathering spot within Eden Park. Today, while the original reservoir no longer functions as a water supply, its historical significance remains. The surrounding park continues to be a cherished destination, offering a blend of natural beauty, cultural attractions, and remnants of Cincinnati’s early infrastructure.
