Welcome to the Rainbow Bird Trail of Golden Plains Shire Council.
The thornbills are a charming and engaging group of birds when you manage to get close to them. They are rather tricky to see and identify except for yellow rumped thornbills. We were lucky to see a small flock of yellow-rumped thornbills here when placing the cache.
Golden Plains has 7 species of thornbills that can be found throughout the shire.
