An overlook stop along one of the multiple highway switchbacks between Vernal, UT and the Flaming Gorge Recreation area along US Highway 191.
If you start getting a little dizzy on the ongoing multiple switchbacks, stop for a short break at this overlook of the Uintah Basin, Red Fleet State Park, the Vernal area, the Dinosaur NM area, and SF Phosphates. These switchbacks are part of the greater than 3000 foot vertical difference from the 8435 ft summit to the Basin down below on US Highway 191.
There is no need to cross any fences or the highway from the overlook parking area to get to the hidden trail mix plastic jar.
