Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Fall Fest 2025 81 Grid Series

This series will offer a variety of DT ratings throughout Brantford and Brant County - be prepared for almost anything. They are being placed for GCAX1X1 Fall Fest 2025, but are not part of the GeoChallenge and are NOT challenge caches. Some will be park and grabs, while others will involve longer hikes or TOTTs. Please check the descriptions and attributes for each cache and do not attempt anything outside of your comfort zone. These caches are being placed to appeal to a wide variety of caching levels and abilities.

The cache IS NOT at the posted coordinates. This is a simple two-stage multi cache. Both stage 1 and the final are located within the park.

County of Brant Sports Hall of Fame

The Sports Hall of Fame was created to acknowledge the athletic achievements of those in the community. Ceremonies are held in Burford, Mount Pleasant, Paris and St. George annually. In addition to being a part of the County of Brant Hall of Fame, selected participants may be displayed in this small outdoor display, highlighting their accomplishments for park visitors to read.

At the posted coordinates, you should be standing in the middle of a U-shaped display, highlighting the accomplishments of some of the area's most prominent athletes. There are a total of 7 plaques at these coordinates - gather information from these plaques as indicated below, and solve the equation to receive the coordinates for the final.

The Final Can be found at: N AB CA.DEA W CDC ED.FBA.

The below should give you more than enough information to solve the missing numbers:

Jim Carman - Jim refereed for EA years with the Ontario Hockey Association.

N. Ross de St. Croix - He was inducted into the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame in EFFA.

Mike Beres - Mike won 7 medals including B gold while competing at the Pan American Games.

Rick Mannen - Rick has held the record for the ACCm and DCCm distance at Pauline Johnson Collegiate and Vocational School since 1973.

Mary Welsh - Mary was awarded the Order of Ontario in 2CCF.

The final is a short walk away (within the park). You are looking for a well-hidden black bison tube. Please bring a pen to sign the logbook, and please replace EXACTLY as found.

This cache is being placed for Fall Fest 2025! by a proud member of:
