The Wildflowers are POPPING right now and in full bloom. We decided to take a nice stroll through them and the weather is perfect. They will not last too long as well as Hog Lake, and the smaller reservoir behind it, both which dry up fairly quickly once the rain stops. Also, very few people if any at all. There were a few cars today and we saw one couple in the distance who never even spotted us :}
Summer time will be HOT and as ALWAYS, please be very alert and wary of snakes. In all the years we’ve been out here we have only ran across one, maybe two, but they are out here!
We REALLY enjoyed a nice picnic at the cache site as there is plenty shade, our pup enjoyed it as well :)
If you look around the cache area the cache name should completely make sense. Mrs. Rooks has a knack of naming the caches :)
Small cache filled with smaller swag, plenty of room for swapping with other pieces of small swag.
Log w/pencil, sharpener, and log.
