ITA :Il parco “Amendola”, progettato dal 1972, è una grande area verde pensata come un luogo in cui si producono esperienze dirette dell’uomo con le forme naturali progettate.
Non si trovano segni di un approccio paesaggistico di tipo classico, piuttosto oggetti in relazione tra loro, come le colline a cono, progettate per essere luoghi di riparo e “isolamento”, o i cilindri di cemento, la cui forma si presta alla sosta così come al gioco. La stessa valenza è attribuita ad altre attrezzature che si trovano nel parco, come il proiettore-meridiana realizzato con tubi metallici color rosso, che scandisce le ore di notte attraverso la proiezione della luce, a simulare la chioma dell’albero che di giorno fa girare l’ombra prodotta dai raggi del sole. Parte fondamentale del progetto e interesse centrale della ricerca degli autori è poi il tema della vegetazione, in maggioranza querce e conifere, studiata nei suoi aspetti paesaggistici e nelle suggestioni formali che offre. I volumi degli alberi e delle siepi sono proporzionati nel progetto agli spazi aperti, ai prati, in modo da creare un ambiente armonico. Ancora le lastre in cemento che uniscono i vari punti focali del parco seguono le trame principali dei filari di alberi. Esse si distanziano le une dalle altre facendo penetrare il verde negli spazi interstiziali, ridefinendo in tal modo i confini delle lastre e facendole apparire come pietre affioranti dal terreno.
ENG: “Amendola” park, designed since 1972, is a large green area conceived as a place where direct human experiences are produced with the designed natural forms. There are no signs of a classical landscape approach, rather objects in relation to each other, such as the cone-shaped hills, designed to be places of shelter and "isolation", or the concrete cylinders, whose shape lends itself to rest as well as play. The same value is attributed to other equipment found in the park, such as the sundial projector made with red metal tubes, which marks the hours of night through the projection of light, simulating the foliage of the tree which during the day casts the shadow produced by the sun's rays. A fundamental part of the project and central interest of the authors' research is the theme of vegetation, mostly oaks and conifers, studied in its landscape aspects and in the formal suggestions it offers. The volumes of the trees and hedges are proportionate in the project to the open spaces and lawns, in order to create a harmonious environment. Again, the concrete slabs that unite the various focal points of the park follow the main patterns of the rows of trees. They distance themselves from each other, allowing greenery to penetrate the interstitial spaces, thus redefining the boundaries of the slabs and making them appear like stones emerging from the ground.
