Geocache Description:


Hedwig Stünzi - Terrasse

The Hedwig Stünzi Terrace does not appear in the official street directory of Zurich and cannot be found on official maps either. It is located in district 8 on Hambergersteig, between Südstrasse 40 and 64, closing the Zurich Grand Canyon. 

The terrace offers a beautiful view of Hambergersteig in the direction of Zollikerstrasse... if the weather allows so!
But there is a sign! The color white is usually used for temporary and as yet unofficial house numbers. When officially naming streets and squares, honorific names are usually consistently spelled with a hyphen. Therefore, it will be called “Hedwig-Stünzi-Terrasse.”

About Hedwig Stünzi

The well-known Swiss art historian Franz Meyer (1919-2007) lived under the neighboring residence at Südstrasse 40 until his death in 2007. He was the son of art collector and lawyer Robert Franz Meyer and Hedwig Meyer-Stünzi, who also lived at the address.
