Welcome to one of Bluefield’s hidden little vantage points! Perched above the bustling rail yard with a clear view of downtown Bluefield, West Virginia. This spot offers a glimpse into the city’s deep-rooted connection to the railroad. Trains still snake through these tracks daily, a living reminder of the region’s industrial past and its role in Appalachian transportation.
While you’re here, take a moment to enjoy the view. You may even catch a Norfolk Southern engine rumbling through the yard!
The cache is a small container tucked discreetly on the guardrail. There’s plenty of room to pull off the road next to the cache making this is a quick park-and-grab. Located inside the container is a small wooden coin for FTF. The container is only big enough for a log and a small token so BYOP. Please return the container as found.
