First time hiding! The name is a play on an old TV sketch "Bottom" and the fact that there is a nearby gas box....
Please note this Cache can be accessed from the public footpath and does not require access onto private property (e.g through the tunnel or on the brick driveway). Please be considerate with timings of coming to this cache as it is in a built-up area.
A Bit of History-
The Sholing district was an isolated area of rural settlement until the 1900s. The opening of the river crossing, first the Floating bridge and later the Itchen Bridge, opened this area up to development along the main road towards Portsmouth.
About the Cache-
A small covert hide with a few log sheets. No Pen inside so please bring your own!! Stealth may be required! as it is on public View.
