The boydfamily is a big part of the Miami Valley geocaching community. I would like to dedicate this cache to them and their 25000th find, what an accomplishment!
Their dedication to the game and this community is admirable. They have placed many caches themselves and never shy away from adopting caches where needed, whether it is close to home or a bit of a drive.
They have organized many events, like Maker Magic where they were able to secure a great location and brought together many geocachers. And us geocachers could earn a new and rare souvenir.
Speaking of souvenirs: when it comes to earning CITO souvenirs, boydfamily will make sure you have the opportunity to earn them. Every season they organize many CITO's to keep our parks and nature preserves clean. That is why I think a metropark is the perfect spot to hide a cache in honor of them.
Park at the designated parking area at 4095 Lower Valley Pike Park entrance. This is the lower lot. There is another parking lot at 4090 Lower Vally Pike, uphill and closer to highway 4. You can reach the cache that way as well, it will just be a longer stroll. Trails are visible on your geocaching app Trails layer. It is about a 0.3 mile walk to the cache from the lower lot. No need to leave the trails until you get to GZ. The cache is no further than 10 steps off trail. You will need to bring a pen.
While in this Metropark, you can enjoy a walk around the lake or have a snack at a picnic table while enjoying the lake view.
