Znajdujesz się na rynku w Chełmnie, przez niektórych nazywanym "Krakowem Północy" a to z powodu nagromadzenia dużej liczby zabytków.

You are in the market square in Chełmno, called by some the "Krakow of the North" due to the accumulation of a large number of monuments.
There are as many as 6 Gothic churches preserved there, an almost intact medieval urban layout. On April 20, 2005, the city was entered on the list of historical monuments. The monuments of Chełmno are on the European Route of Brick Gothic.

However, our hero is the monument to the Memory of the Cavalrymen of the 8th Mounted Rifle Regiment, which commemorates the uhlans stationed in Chełmno, and in particular the pedestal on which the figure of an uhlan on a horse is placed.

🔍 Opis geologiczny
Cokół pomnika Ułanów w Chełmnie wykonany jest z szarego granitu, który zawiera liczne ciemniejsze i jaśniejsze wrostki i inkluzje o nieregularnych kształtach. Te kontrastujące elementy to ksenolity (z greckiego xenos – obcy, lithos – kamień), czyli fragmenty obcych skał wtopionych w granitową magmę w czasie jej krzepnięcia.
Ksenolity są dowodem na to, że magma – podczas swojej wędrówki przez skorupę ziemską – porywała fragmenty otaczających ją starszych skał. Takie "porwane" fragmenty nie uległy całkowitemu stopieniu i zostały zachowane jako świadkowie dynamicznych procesów magmowych.
W granicie cokołu widać zarówno małe jak i większe ksenolity. Różnią się barwą i teksturą od głównej masy skalnej, co pozwala łatwo je zauważyć.

The pedestal of the Uhlans monument in Chełmno is made of grey granite, which contains numerous darker and lighter inclusions and irregularly shaped inclusions. These contrasting elements are xenoliths (from the Greek xenos - foreign, lithos - stone), i.e. fragments of foreign rocks fused into granite magma during its solidification.
Xenoliths are evidence that magma - during its journey through the Earth's crust - carried away fragments of older rocks surrounding it. Such "carried away" fragments did not melt completely and were preserved as witnesses to dynamic magmatic processes.
Both small and larger xenoliths can be seen in the granite of the pedestal. They differ in colour and texture from the main rock mass, which makes them easy to spot.
