Celebrating 15 years of Geocaching being in and touching many parts of our lives throughout the years!
*Disclaimer*
This is a Little Free Library, TB (travel bug & traveling book) Hotel, Letterbox Hybrid, puzzle cache, and a discoverable Trackable, hidden on private property with permission from both the landowner and the residence. Be advised that parking is not permitted on the side of the street that the Library is on (even numbered houses), but is allowed on the opposite side (odd numbered houses). Please return everything EXACTLY as you found it, and please be respectful during your visit. Please report any issues you see so that we may address them as promptly as we can. Only log this with a "Found It" log if you physically signed the paper log. Be aware that security cameras are active on site, but geocachers, letterboxers, and book worms are encouraged to visit! Feel free to post pictures of the Library or yourself at GZ. If you see one of us, feel free to say hello as we are cachers too!
*The History*
15 years ago, we, and_friend1286 and RickieFareShowe18, created our Geocaching accounts and logged our first found cache. The first cache we found is now long archived. A traditional in the woods behind a park here in town; Powder Mill Park Cache. Thus, a new hobby was born! Over time, we introduced it to more and more people. Eventually finding our first Letterbox, visiting our first TB Hotel, and discovering our first Little Free Library. All while going on memorable adventures, seeing crazy places, attending various events, making some memories, and ultimately changing our lives.
*The Cache/Letterbox/Library*
This Little Free Library was a long time in the making and designing. We wanted a way to give back to the community while also incorporating our on-the-go hobbies. The top half is the Little Free Library, where you are welcome to take a book and/or leave a book. This is also where you may find and exchange traveling books! The bottom half is where the Geocache, Letterbox, Trackable, and travel bug hotel reside. In order to gain access, you'll need to solve a quick puzzle to open the 4 dialed pad lock. Don't forget to stamp the stamps, discover the Trackable, and sign the log.
*Puzzle*
In order to access the cache, you first must decipher the 4 digit code for the lock. To do that, you must first answer 4 questions in relation to the art on each of the sides (in order: side-left, front-left, front-right, and side-right). The number of letters in your answer will be that number (i.e. "cache" = 5 or "coordinate" = 0 [drop the first digit, so 10 is 0]).
S-L - What season is depicted in the image?
F-L - What is the rainbow coming from at the top?
F-R - Who's that Pokémon?!
S-R - Based on the larger top section, complete the phrase: "_____, the final frontier."
A
certitude checker has been added so that you may confirm your combo lock solution. Should make the colder months easier and keep the uncertainty to a minimum (it will give the same coordinates as the cache page).
