Geocache Description:

Welcome to the new Anthony Wayne Trail Trail.   This is a brand new paved walking/bike trail along side of the renovated Anthony Wayne Trail in Maumee Ohio.   I do not know if it has an official name yet, but I am calling it the Anthony Wayne Trail Trail (Or should that be Trail Squared?).   Anyway, this is the seventh in a series of caches I have planned along its path.

Perhaps it is time to reflect on this series of geocaches, so far.  Technically, I started this series (based on the names/descriptions) in August 2024.  That was a few months after I noticed that they finished this new walking/bike trail.  I have added a new geocache to it every month (or two) since then.  While the first cache in the series (GCAX17Y) was done in August 2024, that first cache replaced a geocache that was located very near its location (GCAAHAG). That geocache was placed in June 2023 and only lasted until about November 2023 when construction in that part of the Anthony Wayne trail removed the cache hide location. About 4 years before then, I placed my first geocache along this stretch of road (just east of that location) in January 2019 (GC82TCG) which was lost when they first started the road enhancement project in September 2021. I subsequently replaced that original geocache with a geocache in January 2022 (GC9M180) which was a much better geocache and is still active as of the date this geocache is hidden. Shortly after that earliest geocache I placed along this road, in September 2019, I placed a geocache in a spot at the dead end of Monclova Road (GC8E4PA) that had previously had a geocache by another owner that had been archived a few years earlier. That replaced geocache (on the dead end road) is also still active. That location is very near where this new walking/bike trail ends and prevents me from putting a new geocache at the very end of this new trail. I will likely be able to squeeze one more geocache along this western section of the trail. All these mentioned geocaches are somewhat along the route of this new walking/bike trail and could retroactively be considered part of the trail.
