Black Pond in Windsor, New Hampshire, was formed during the last ice age when a chunk of ice became wedged into the ground. As the climate warmed and the ice melted, the depression filled with water, creating the pond. The pond is known for its trout fishing and the use of Windfall strain brook trout.
