Malty National is a true neighbourhood brewery located in a small converted retail space on a side street a stone’s throw from the Regina General Hospital since 2016. Our daughter lived nearby while going to medical school and became a real convert. Her latest favourite is Blueberry Cake Sour, which is enough to make me gag, but shows how craft breweries are finding a new generation of beer drinkers. Malty partners with many local businesses and I recall playing trivia across the street at the Hampton Hub one night and the boys from Malty rolled a fresh keg across the road to ensure we didn’t go thirsty.
