Hileman Heroes have been improving this large park since 2022. Great birdwatching location. There are lots of side trails off the main road that leads to the river. Follow the road a little less than half a mile past the main gate. To your right, you will see an opening in the guard rail and a large rectangular chunk of concrete. Enter the trail there. Once you find yourself near the blue dot, keep your eyes on the left side of the trail. Look for a tree about 10 feet off the trail with a tree cavity about head height and a second tree cavity about knee height. You are very close!
Enjoy your time at the park, listen to the river, the birds, and the rustling of leaves. And make a game of finding weirdly shaped trees.
