Geocaching is a worldwide treasure hunt that uses GPS technology to find hidden "caches." It’s designed to be a fun and engaging activity for the whole family. Geocaching 101 is a basic introduction that teaches you what geocaching is and how to find caches using the free Geocaching.com app on your phone. You’ll also get to see a wide variety of geocaching containers used in this fun outdoor adventure. There will be plenty to do and learn for more advanced cachers as well.
📱 Please bring your cell phone and download the Geocaching.com app before attending.
There is a wide variety of caches hidden throughout the park—some long-standing, and some brand new! After the classroom session, experienced WGA members will guide groups out to search for caches together. Special thanks to spike007 for so many quality caches.
🕙 Class starts promptly at 10:00 AM.
🧭 Group caching begins at 11:00 AM.
🚗 Note: There is a fee to enter the state park. For more information, visit the Wisconsin State Parks website.
Special thanks to jacquendoncody and spike007 for hosting the class and creating new caches to find. (New caches will publish prior to the event!)
