Seneca Lake was a very important part of Captain Jon's life. From when growing up he played with friends and relatives along the shores to going for memorable rides in relatives boats. Then teaching sailing at the yacht club and to owning his own boat that he kept on Seneca Lake.
He loved going by boat to visit friends and relatives that lived along the lake or anchoring out somewhere and letting Lady Seneca rock him to sleep. On a hot summer day, had to anchor at boaters beach (that you can see from this cache) and party with friends that were also anchored there. And just had to watch the 4th of July fireworks from the boat in the middle of the lake.
He liked the fact that you can get to the Eire Canal from Seneca Lake via the Cayuga Seneca Outlet. He enjoyed many trips starting at the lake and traversing the outlet to get to the canal, eventually traveling along the entire length.
Then a few years ago he discovered jet skis. A whole new way to experience life on Seneca Lake! He used his jet ski place a few caches around the area of the lake and the outlet.
So I invite you to take a pleasent walk along Seneca Lake to do this cache and look out at it and think of Captain Jon!
