Goodwood Bowls Club is known it's hospitality and in home to current Protea Bowler Anneke Scheepers( nee Snyman) who has several Gold, Silver and Brone Commonwealth and African games medals.
In addition to their traditional greens, Goorrrrwood has also added indoor/carpet bowls which is played in the evenings which has become very popular.
Carpet bowls is arguably more difficult as it requires much more accuracy and weigh control.
The World Bowls championships is held in England and Scotland and is indoor on carpet.
