Geocache Description:

Welcome to Christmasguy's Travel Challenge Geoart! Indiana

This series is designed to inspire travel across the US, encouraging visits to all 50 states plus DC. After 13 years of geocaching and finding at least one geocache in each state plus DC, I wanted to share this adventure with you.

The Challenge

Each geocache in this series requires you to complete a challenge by finding at least one geocache in the state named in the geocache.

Example: If the geocache name is "Christmasguy's Travel Challenge: 1 Find in WI," you qualify to complete the challenge when you have logged at least one found geocache in Wisconsin and have the "WI" souvenir. If you haven't, please do not submit a found log.

Searching: Please search ONLY at the final waypoint of the Geocache.  There is NOTHING to see at the virtual coordinates

Additional Information:

The caches are hidden all in public places including parks, bike trails and on City of Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie public property.  The geocache containers are all camouflaged taped pill bottles with most attached to an object at the ground zero.

Notes on finding geocaches hidden by Christmasguy:

1) These are not in swamps like the majority of mine. Ok maybe a couple :)

2) These are not all super easy walk up and find the geocache container.  Some will be easy and your kids will enjoy searching.  Others will literally frustrate you as they will be hidden several meters back from a trail head or path (did someone say bushwacking).  Most will be tethered to something (sign, brick, rock, tree, etc.), some will be at ground level, some in the middle and some will require a reach (no climbing though).

3) Give yourself plenty of time.  While all were hidden in one day, the season including any recent rain or snow recently will make finding these tough.  If you can't find something, reach out with a geocaching message.  If I see it and am available, I'll typically reply within an hour.

4) Wear proper clothing & use bug spray to keep skeeters and ticks away.

5) Remember to have fun!  It took me 13 years to get to all 50 states plus DC and I've met a lot of great people along the journey.

Happy Geocaching!

Christmasguy
