There has been a footpath here for many years linking the old Cippenham Court Farm to the Bath Road, the footpath now doesn't follow the original route. The farm was first recoreded in 1481 and covered a large area from Farnham Royal to Dorney and from Huntercombe Lane to the Three Tuns.
Nearby is a road called Twinches Lane which was named after a farmer who lived at Cippenham Lodge which is now a school. There are also a couple of old farm buildings left, one is a pub and the other is a supplier of kitchens.
