In the 1970s, we used to stop at the Esso station for gas and maybe have a bite to eat in the Kanaka Bar Café on our way to our family cabin.
It was boarded up in the 2010s. The Kanaka Bar Indian Band is planning to develop the area into a modern day rest area.
These used to be a Gold Country cache in this location. The cache was archived in the fall of 2024, so I thought it was time for a replacement.
