This is a re-creation of my very first geocaching hide.
Back in January of 2008 I hid a cache here to help grow geocaching on Guam and to bring folks to one of Guam's most prominent landmarks.
This is the third statue placed at this site, even Quipuha cannot stand against some of Guam's typhoons!
Below is my original write up for the hide from yesteryear:
In the loop at the Heart of the island, this is quick 'n' easy park 'n' grab. You only have to watch out for passing muggles. But be wary of the traffic as you cross the street from the parking lot.
A giant Ancient guards this cache! In the ancient years, Guam had two main chieftains, Quipuha in the North and Gadao in the South. The two had a contest to see who was the stronger, better chief. This is a statue representing Quipuha. Visit The Southern Chief's Cache to find out more about Gadao!
