Euer Feedback zur Block Party 2025 war so unglaublich positiv, dass es uns eine Freude ist,
auch dieses Jahr wieder mit euch zu frühstücken!
Frei nach dem Motto „Aller guten Dinge sind 3“ gibt es heute nochmal eine Ausgabe
des Frühstücks am Rhein - diesmal wieder als Mega-Event.
Wir sind gespannt, was ihr uns von eurem persönlichen Geocaching-Jubiläumsjahr 2025 berichtet.
Lasst uns wissen, welches euer schönstes besuchtes Event war und wo es stattgefunden hat.
Schreibt uns das im Will-Attend-Log oder Attended - wie ihr wollt.
Genauso neugierig sind wir wieder, wo ihr überall herkommt.
Die Karte wird natürlich wieder am Start sein!
Dieses Jahr möchten wir euch eine etwas anderen Aspekt beim Geocachen zeigen:
Was tun, wenn man sich verletzt hat?
Das passiert schneller, als einem lieb ist - vom kleinen Kratzer
über blaue Flecken bis zu Schlimmeren.
Ihr könnt euch vor Ort über Möglichkeiten informieren, was im Notfall getan werden kann,
was in ein Notfall-Set gehört, und was man nicht tun sollte.
An Praxis gibt es nur Abrieb für den Stift, der dazu Fragen in einem Quiz beantworten darf.
Als hoffentlich verletzungsfreies Gegenstück darf gerne zum Bingo
gegriffen und eine Runde gespielt werden.
Wann findet das Früh- und Spätstück am Rhein statt?
Natürlich am Ostermontag! Dieses Jahr am 6. April 2026, wieder von 06:30 - 13:30 Uhr.
Was macht unsere Community so besonders?

Wir laden euch ein, Teil der leckersten Frühstück-Tradition zu werden:
Unserem Buffet der „Regionalen Spezialitäten“.
Ob es ein besonderes Gebäck aus deiner Stadt ist, ein lokaler Käse oder ein Snack,
für den deine Region berühmt ist – bring eine Portion zum Teilen mit!
Lasst uns unser Frühstück am Rhein in eine kulinarische Reise über die Landkarte verwandeln.
Wir sorgen für die Tische, den frischen Kaffee, Milch und die Aussicht; ihr bringt den Geschmack der Heimat mit.
Drückt die Daumen, dass es nach so viel Üben endlich ohne Probleme klappt und auch die Physik mitspielt.
Auch dieses Jahr gibt es wieder ein besonderes Andenken in Form von einzeln trackbaren Woodcoins.
Nehmt euch gerne welche als Souvenir mit - mit eurem Tausch unterstützt ihr uns
gleichzeitig bei der Finanzierung dieses Mega-Events.
Ohne movie_fan'sche Checkliste kann kein Frühstück ein Frühstück sein, deshalb kommt sie hier:
[ ] Cachetitel habe ich gelesen und weiß daher, daß wir frühstücken
[ ] Ich bringe eine regionale Spezialität für das Buffet mit.
[ ] ich bin dem Wetter entsprechend angezogen, aber keiner weiß, wie das Wetter wird -
also einfach vorher passend kleiden (Tipp: Wetterbericht kann helfen)
[ ] ich habe zur Kenntnis genommen, daß das Event an einem Ostermontag stattfindet,
von 06:30 Uhr bis 13:30 Uhr.

Eine Runde Kleingedrucktes zum Mega Event:
- es wird kein Catering geben. Das Frühstück am Rhein ist seit über 12 Jahren ein Selbstversorger-Event, und soll es auch dieses Mal bleiben
- für Raum fürs Buffet wird gesorgt, Beiträge dafür sind sehr willkommen!
- wir dürfen wieder die Toiletten in der Jugendherberge benutzen (siehe Waypoints, Gebühr 50Cent)
- bitte denkt an eigene Tassen und Teller (daran erinnern wir euch nochmal), Einweggeschirr ist nicht erlaubt
- es wird neue Caches und Labcaches geben
- Coins und (tragbare) TBs sind willkommen
- wir sind neugierig. Wo kommt ihr alle her? Verratet es mit einem bunten Punkt auf der Landkarte (dieses Mal hoffentlich auch mit der europäischen Version!)
- wer Namensschilder hat, darf sie gerne mitbringen
- die Parkplatzsituation vor Ort ist nicht gerade die beste. Daher die Bitte: wenn irgendwie möglich, nutzt die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel oder Räder oder die Parkgarage an der Mensa/Parkhäuser (s. Wegpunkte)
- für WoMo-Fahrer: im Hafen ist an Feiertagen relativ gut zu parken, falls das Parkhaus zu niedrig ist - der offizielle Campingplatz am Strandbad ist in den Waypoints (spassiger ists wahrscheinlich am Eventgelände)
- in den Wegpunkten ist das Parkhaus P5, am Bahnhof sind noch zwei weitere Parkhäuser (Link zur offiziellen Mannheimer Parkhaus-Homepage beim Wegpunkt)
- mit Glück findet man auch auf dem Lindenhof einen Parkplatz
- für Camper oder WoMo-Fahrer, die früher anreisen: die Mannheimer Stellplätze sind in den Wegpunkten samt Links zu den Infos

Third time's a charm!
Your feedback for the Block Party 2025 was so incredibly positive that it’s a true pleasure for us
to host another breakfast with you this year!
True to the motto "Third time's a charm!," today we are presenting another
edition of the Breakfast on the Rhine as a Mega-Event.
We are excited to hear about your personal geocaching anniversary year 2025.
Let us know which event was your favorite and where it took place.
Feel free to share your stories in your "Will Attend" or "Attended" logs.
We are also curious to see where everyone is traveling from – our map will be ready for your pins.

What should you do if you get injured?
It happens faster than you’d like -
ranging from minor scratches and bruises to more serious mishaps.
On-site, you can find information about:
How to handle emergencies, what belongs in a proper first-aid kit,
Common mistakes to avoid ("what not to do").
The only physical strain you'll face is the friction of your pen!
You can put your knowledge to the test by answering questions in our safety quiz.
As a (hopefully) injury-free alternative, feel free to grab a card and join us for a round of Bingo.

Let’s turn our breakfast by the Rhine into a culinary journey across the map.
We will provide the tables, fresh coffee, milk, and the view; you bring the flavor of home.
Keep your fingers crossed that after so much practice, everything runs smoothly this time and even the laws of physics play along.
Once again this year, we have a special souvenir for you:
individually trackable Woodcoins. Feel free to grab some as a keepsake - by trading for them,
you are also helping us to fund and support this Mega-Event.
A breakfast wouldn't be a real breakfast without movie_fan's checklist, so here it is:
[ ] I have read the cache title and am aware that we are having breakfast
[ ] I am bringing a local specialty for the buffet.
[ ] I am dressed appropriately for the weather
(even if no one knows what it will be like – Tip: checking the forecast might help!)
[ ] I have taken note that the event takes place on Easter Monday from 06:30 AM to 01:30 PM.

A quick bit of 'the small print' for the Mega Event:
- there will be no catering. Breakfast on the Rhine has been a self-catering event for over 12 years, and will remain so this time too
- space will be provided for the buffet, and donations are very welcome!
- we are allowed to use the toilets in the youth hostel again (see waypoints, 50 cent fee)
- please remember to bring your own cups and plates (we remind you again). Disposable tableware is not allowed.
- there will be new caches and labcaches.
- coins and (portable) TBs are welcome
- we are curious. Where are you all from? Tell us with a coloured dot on the map (hopefully with the European version this time!)
- if you have name badges, you are welcome to bring them with you
- the parking situation on site is not the best. Please use public transport, bicycles or the canteen car park if possible (see waypoints).
- for motorhome drivers: it is relatively easy to park in the harbour on public holidays if the multi-storey car park is too low (the official campground is in the waypoints - but more fun at the event location...)
- the P5 multi-storey car park is in the waypoints, there are two more multi-storey car parks at the station (link to the official Mannheim multi-storey car park homepage at the waypoint) and other garages
- if you are lucky, you will also find a car park at the Lindenhof.
- for campers or caravanners arriving earlier: the car parks in Mannheim are listed in the waypoints with links to the information.
