Description: This Cache is placed as part of the 2025 Taconic Region Geocaching Challenge. The NYS Parks Saratoga-Capital Region and the Central Region will be hosting a similar challenge. Find 45 challenge caches in the Taconic Region and stamp your passport to earn a trackable geo-coin. Ten caches found in the Sara-Cap and/or Central Region Challenge can be used toward the Taconic Challenge. This cache contains a unique stamp which must stay with the cache. Use this stamp to mark your passport. This stamp is NOT a trade item.

About this cache: Welcome to the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail, a 41 mile multi-use trail that follows the route of the historic Old Croton Aqueduct from the 19th century water supply system for New York City. You can park nearby and enjoy a quick dash for the cache or take a leisurely stroll along the trail. Head north to see the Croton Dam or head south as far as you want. If you complete the 26.2 mile portion in Westchester, the Friend of the Old Croton Aqueduct will give you special recogntion.
