Alter Friedhof
Vor den Toren der Stadt Goslar entstand 1826 dieser neue städtische Friedhof. Inmitten des Friedhofs wurde nach dem 1. Weltkrieg ein ca. 1000 Quadratmeter großer Ehrenfriedhof für die gefallenen Soldaten aus Goslar angelegt. Nach dem 2. Weltkrieg wurde dieser Ehrenfriedhof um ca. 3000 Quadratmeter für gefallene oder in den Lazaretten der Stadt verstorbenen Soldaten und beim Bombenangriff ums Leben gekommene Zivilpersonen erweitert. Aber auch zahlreiche Menschen aus Osteuropa, die während des 2. Weltkrieges nach Goslar und Oker verschleppt wurden, fanden hier ihre letzte Ruhestätte. Die Opfer von Krieg und Gewaltherrschaft von 1933 bis 1945 erhielten 1997 eine würdige Gedenkstätte. Die Cacherunde führt euch rund um den alten Friedhof.
Cache
Für diesen Cache benötigt ihr ein Wherigo-fähiges GPS-Gerät oder Smartphone. Die Cartridge gibt es hier. Ein großes Dankeschön an -Waldmeister- für die Entwicklung. Ihr seid dann im Besitz einer "Reverse-Cache-Box", welche euch keine Koordinaten sondern nur die Entfernung zum Final anzeigt. Aufgabe ist es, die Entfernung so selten wie möglich zu erfragen und den Geocache nur mit Hilfe dieser Entfernungsangaben zu finden.
Die benötigten 3 x sechsstelligen Zahlen, um den WIG zu spielen, könnt ihr beim Wegpunkt "Start #02" ermitteln:
Schaut nach oben zum Bahngelände! Dort erkennt ihr am alten Stellwerk 3 Buchstaben und am linken Bestonschalthaus eine Buchstaben-Zahlenkombination. Bei den Buchstaben benötigt ihr die einstellige Quersumme des Buchstabenwertes:

Round Old Cemetery | RAF 02 - Old & Holey
Old cemetery
This new municipal cemetery was built on the outskirts of Goslar in 1826. After the First World War, a cemetery of honour measuring around 1000 square metres was laid out in the middle of the cemetery for the fallen soldiers from Goslar. After the Second World War, this cemetery of honour was extended by around 3000 square metres for soldiers who had fallen or died in the town's military hospitals and civilians who had died in bombing raids. Numerous people from Eastern Europe who were deported to Goslar and Oker during the Second World War also found their final resting place here. The victims of war and tyranny from 1933 to 1945 were given a worthy memorial in 1997. The caching tour takes you around the old cemetery.
Cache
For this cache you need a Wherigo-compatible GPS device or smartphone. The cartridge is available here. A big thank you to -Waldmeister- for the development. You will then be in possession of a ‘reverse cache box’, which does not show you any coordinates but only the distance to the final. The task is to ask for the distance as seldom as possible and to find the geocache only with the help of this distance information.
You can find out the 3 x six-digit numbers required to play the WIG at the ‘Start #02’ waypoint:
Look up to the railway area! There you will recognise 3 letters on the old signal box and a combination of letters and numbers on the left-hand signal box. For the letters, you need the one-digit sum of the letter value:
