Most of the Traditional Caches you see are in celebration of something that IS there now, or something from the past, either in that location, or of previous ‘social’ significance (sport, music, tv, historical event, etc)
But not in celebration of something in the future. (I’ve never seen one anyway) Well, now you have.
Right in front of you is a large grassed area. This is land earmarked for the future Oran Park Railway Station. This cache celebrates that not-yet-but-we-promise-it’ll-happen-one-day amenity.
The question of how far in the future it will be before this much-wanted facility is finally built is anyone’s guess. Evidently successive state governments (of either complexion) find it hard to plan more than four years into the future.
So … my prediction … this cache will be on duty in its present form for a good time to come.
And its title? Well, what does a cache in this one’s position want to be one day? A Sidetracked Cache, of course.
