🟦 Blue Switch Day, dan modrega stikala, ki ga praznujemo vsako leto 2. maja označuje dan, ko je ameriška vlada izklopila "Selective Availability" – funkcijo, ki je umetno poslabšala natančnost GPS-a za civilno rabo. Od takrat naprej so naši GPS-i končno pokazali, kam gremo... bolj ali manj. In dan zatem – 3. maja – je nekdo skril prvi geocache. In svet se ni več izgubljal!

🟦 Blue Switch Day (May 2, XXXX) marks the day the U.S. government turned off Selective Availability – a function that intentionally degraded GPS accuracy for civilian use. From that day on, GPS receivers finally started showing us where we were going… more or less. And just one day later – on May 3 – someone hid the very first geocache. And the world has been finding things ever since!
