The Kuiper Belt is a region beyond Neptune's orbit in our solar system, populated by numerous icy bodies, including dwarf planets like Pluto and Eris. It's believed to be a reservoir of short-period comets and a remnant from the early solar system. The belt extends from 30 to over 1,000 astronomical units (AU) from the Sun.
This cache is Part of the Caches Across the Solar System series in Southern California, which will take visitors to scale representations of the Planets, Dwarf Planets, Moons, and Other Objects of the Solar System, with the Great Park Balloon representing the Sun.
