Take a walk from the parking lot toward the river and hunt among the rocks near the treeline!
Putting on the GeoTrail every year takes a lot of work, and we couldn't do it without the help from the geocaching community. Thanks to Limont for helping us look after this cache!
Bush honeysuckle is one of the first plants to bloom each spring, and one of the last to lose leaves in the fall. They sprout multiple stems from one spot, with bark that can appear shredded. Their shallow root systems allow them to spread and grow quickly, taking over wooded areas rapidly with their dense bushes.

Be sure to check out the 15 other caches that are a part of this year’s Metro Parks GeoTrail! To participate in the Metro Parks GeoTrail go to Metro Parks to find complete instructions.
