This was always known as the Cinder Path to us growing up (nothing to do with Catherine Cookson's book!) I didn't even realise it had a proper name until recently! The path itself is quite steep but the views across the fields are pretty. The cache can be accessed from either end, depending on how much of a walk you want to do and parking is available on the main road at the top - don't try and drive down the track.
