March 30 - initial email requesting permission 
March 31 - first permission 
April 8 - second permission 

Then, I had several things happen and I goofed.

So, here is my fix.

Got permission for both dates from the city.

Sunday, May 18 from 10 to 11 - I will be at CITO
Not sure about lunch plans yet.

Tuesday, May 20 from 10 to 11 - I will be at CITO
I plan to go to a delicious BBQ around the corner for lunch. Think I will invite a friend that really enjoyed that place the first time she tried it. (Was my neighbor for over 40 years) Others could join also.

I took the day off work. I changed a few plans.

A    Friend    reminded me about parks in this area. You will need to bring your own    Treat    if you need a snack. You won't  find picnic tables or a      Crystal    since it is just land and trees..  We can talk about some puzzles if you would like.  Those are the exact coordinates for this event.  Thought we could do a little puzzle while cleaning the park.

This is a Cache In Trash Out (CITO) event.

This is my first CITO at this park. The park is just sourth of Lake Parker in Lakeland, Florida..  Michael "Mikey" Grimm and Daniel Daugherty with lakelandgov.net is in charge of this park and approved this event.

What:  CITO - Interlachen Park

Where: 1600 Holly Road, Lakeland, FL

When:  Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM

It is on SUNDAY. The 18th.

Why:  To enhance the beauty of this park

How: 

• Mark will attend on the event
• Sign the log book if you like that style.
• Grab a bag or bring your own.  During my last CITO, many cachers preferred grocery bags over large bags.. We emptied them into a large bag and refilled as needed. I also started bringing bins and washable bags.
• Grabbers will be available or you might want to bring your own.
• Gather any trash around the park. 
• Bring it back to the GZ. Especially for this park.
• Sanitize your hands.  (Sanitizer will be available at the GZ.)
• Pose for our group photo.  I try to take photos throughout the event also.
• Log your attendance on the app or online. 
• Receive your smile.

Every bag of trash collected, tree planted, or CITO project completed counts towards our goal to leave the global geocaching gameboard better than we found it.
Since 2002, more than 770,000 geocachers have attended over 43,000 CITO Events across 152 countries, helping improve the outdoors through habitat restoration, trash removal, and other public service projects.

The 2025 CITO dates:
CITO Season 1: Saturday, March 1 through Saturday, May 31, 2025
CITO Season 2: Monday, September 1 through Sunday, November 30, 2025

Attend a CITO Event during each season to earn both souvenirs.
